Beverly opened the studio in 1974.  She taught all the classes and managed the studio on her own.  She was trained at an early age by Doris Moody - her mentor.  She was in the State Ballet of RI training under Herci and Miles Marsden.  She has attended many conventions and workshops over the years to keep her teaching current and professional.  She is a master at teaching tap.  Her students have been ready to attend workshops in NY and audition for Bayside Tap Company at only 10 years of age.

Erica, Beverly's oldest daughter, graduated with a degree in dance and mathematics.  In her twenties, she attended the American Dance Festival at Duke University and was a soloist with the State Ballet of RI.  She also toured the country performing and assisting master teachers teach all forms of dance to aspiring young dancers.  When in her late twenties, living in New Hampshire, she was on faculty at Dimensions in Dance.  While living in Colorado, she was on faculty at Greeley Conservatory of Dance as a tap teacher and was a soloist in their ballet company.  She has danced with many master tappers and started Bayside Tap Company in 1997.  Erica's passion is getting students prepared for professional or college dance.  

Giana Bigelow has been dancing for the better part her life. She began tap and ballet at the age of 3, and loved it so much she added jazz and pointe classes as soon as she was old enough. The exposure to a variety of genres ignited her passion for dance, quickly becoming her outlet and safe place. Her love for tap began early on in her dancing career at Bayside School of Dance. Giana was accepted into the Bayside Tap Company at the age of 10. Gina says, "This is where I was challenged, inspired, and taught to be a disciplined dancer. The tap company is where I truly flourished and where my tap skills were sharpened. Those long and vigorous, yet rewarding tap company rehearsals shaped me as a dancer as I embraced the artistry, rhythm, and musicality of tap dancing."  She wants to bring the same passion and creativity to her beginner tap students in a safe, encouraging environment that promotes the fun and beauty of tap. 

Emma started dancing when she was five years old at Kerry’s Dance Center in Chester, NH; she was a member of their competition team through middle and high school. Emma attended the University of Rhode Island and spent four years with the URI Dance Company. Post-graduation, she has continued to look for dance opportunities, which led her to Bayside! Emma has training in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and pointe. She works at an environmental nonprofit and is also a certified group exercise instructor.
