Meet The Teachers
Owner/Teacher
Beverly Parsons
Beverly opened the studio in 1974. She taught all the classes and managed the studio on her own. She was trained at an early age by Doris Moody - her mentor. She was in the State Ballet of RI training under Herci and Miles Marsden. She has attended many conventions and workshops over the years to keep her teaching current and professional. She is a master at teaching tap. Her students have been ready to attend workshops in NY and audition for Bayside Tap Company at only 10 years of age.
Teacher
Erica De Coste
Erica, Beverly's oldest daughter, graduated with a degree in dance and mathematics. In her twenties, she attended the American Dance Festival at Duke University and was a soloist with the State Ballet of RI. She also toured the country performing and assisting master teachers teach all forms of dance to aspiring young dancers. When in her late twenties, living in New Hampshire, she was on faculty at Dimensions in Dance. While living in Colorado, she was on faculty at Greeley Conservatory of Dance as a tap teacher and was a soloist in their ballet company. She has danced with many master tappers and started Bayside Tap Company in 1997. Erica's passion is getting students prepared for professional or college dance.
Office Manager/Teacher
Rebecca Stefanko
Rebecca, Beverly's youngest daughter, was a member of the State Ballet of RI in her teens. Rebecca was accepted into Bayside Tap Company in 1997. In her twenties, she was selected to coach cheerleading. Her squad won competitions with her choreography. As a result, she has experience with tumbling she has been an integral part in developing our hip hop classes. She also teaches Advanced Jazz and Combo III. Rebecca has two beautiful boys that will often see at the studio waiting patiently for mom. They both dabble in tap and ballet, but have not committed to either.
Assistant Teacher
Karen Bernier
Karen, is an adult ballet and tap student at our studio. She is currently teaching the Combo II class. She is seen around the studio as a substitute teacher when needed. Karen is an elementary school teacher.
